Research Scientist with the Hakai Institute
Matt is a research scientist at the Hakai Institute and associate member of the Institute for Comparative Genomics at Dalhousie University. His research uses genetic approaches to quantify biodiversity, and seeks to uncover mechanisms that structure marine communities through space and time. Currently much of his work is focused on the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) as a tool to inform conservation, management, and long-term ecological research.
