Research Scientist with the Hakai Institute
Margot is a marine ecologist with Hakai’s Marine Ecology group and an adjunct professor in the UBC Institute of Oceans and Fisheries. This group investigates the biodiversity, productivity and connectivity associated with nearshore habitats, including seagrass beds, kelp forests and rocky reefs. Margot works closely with global, regional and local networks to implement monitoring and research and maximize the reach of coordinated science.
