Sentinels of Change Alliance Postdoctoral Research Fellow in European Green Crab monitoring and Ecophysiology
Carl (he/him) has a strong interest in understanding the thermal adaptability of intertidal species within blue carbon habitats. He aims to employ thermal physiology and transdisciplinary approaches to study the impact of climate driven events on marine life at the Salish sea, particularly the dynamics between the invasive green crab and native Dungeness crab populations across different life stages. Based at UBC Vancouver in the Moore Inclusive Conservation Lab, Carl works closely with Sentinels technicians and is co-advised by Alex Moore, Margot Hessing-Lewis and Iria Gimenez.
